'Springtime in Japan at the Bellagio'
With over 82,000 flowers surrounding my wife and I in the Bellagio Conservatory, we walked through the exhibit to the far wall of the massive Conservatory to look back on the whole exhibit from behind one of the bridges... a vantage point unknown to many attendees...
'Springtime in Japan at the Bellagio' is a 32" x 18" acrylic on canvas painting of a small wooden bridge over water surrounded by flowers in an exhibit put on by the Bellagio’s Conservatory & Botanical Gardens in the Bellagio hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada titled "Springtime in Japan" thus inspiring the name of the 2015 work by Ben Miley.
The work explores a viewpoint of reflection – both literally and figuratively – a reflection of nature, to remind us there is no fake nature. Artificial displays of nature are in fact the nature we have created.
