The Notochord Bench is named after a primitive backbone, which comes from the Greek words 'notos' meaning back, and 'chorde' meaning cord.

In an effort to use basic, readily available and off-the-shelf materials, the Notochord Bench was designed with simplicity in mind.

Comprised of plumbing pipe and fittings, plywood, and stainless steel hardware, the bench is durable and beautiful in any setting.
